Flying with Your Space Suitcase

When preparing for air travel, it’s always best to coordinate with your airline or travel agency to confirm their current battery policy.
Most airlines allow smart suitcases with removable lithium batteries under 100 Wh to be checked in or carried on, as long as the battery remains installed safely and switched off.

Some carriers, however, may ask that the battery be removed and kept in your hand luggage, similar to how portable power banks are transported.

Whichever option your airline prefers, the process is simple — the battery is easily detachable for inspection and labeled with its full capacity rating for quick verification by security staff.

Tip: If you’re unsure, we recommend carrying the battery with you in your cabin bag to ensure smooth boarding and compliance with all international air-travel regulations.
